Questions, answered

MP4 transcript questions

Can I upload a three-hour MP4?

The uploader checks the configured size and duration limits before processing. Large files use a queued private media workflow.

Does the page fetch videos from a URL?

No. Upload a video file you own or have permission to process. CastTranscript does not provide a video downloader.

Can I export subtitles from an MP4 transcript?

Yes when verified sentence timing is available. The same project can export SRT or WebVTT alongside TXT and Markdown.

How long is the source video kept?

The production retention window is shown by the product workflow and is intended for processing and review, not permanent media hosting.
