LIVE TRANSCRIPTION
A live transcript that becomes a real document
Capture interviews and meetings as readable speaker turns, then correct, refine or export the same private project.
Built around an actual conversation
Grok Voice Transcribe 2.0 handles the live pass. The browser sends 16 kHz PCM through a sticky session relay so turns can arrive while the meeting is still happening.
- During the call
- Speaker turns arrive as a readable conversation stream.
- After the call
- Edit the live transcript or explicitly run a paid MAI refine pass.
- On disconnect
- Billing settles from the last confirmed heartbeat without waiting for a Stop click.
Jordan Let’s keep the opening tight, then move the detail into chapter two.
Mina Agreed. I’ll mark the handoff at twelve minutes.
Minute settlement
A dropped tab should not create a billing mystery.
CastTranscript reserves up to five minutes at a time, or fewer when the account has less remaining. Confirmed elapsed time is settled as the session progresses, and the unused tail of the active block is refunded when the connection closes.
1:18 unused in this block returns automatically.
Two intentional passes
Accurate enough for the room. Refined only when you ask.
The live Grok pass favors a responsive conversation stream with the current streaming-accuracy leader. When the meeting ends, that transcript is already an editable project. If you need a more deliberate publishing pass, choose Refine with MAI from the project. It is a separate charge and never runs silently.
That separation keeps model provenance, timing and cost understandable. CastTranscript does not merge two independent transcripts into one supposedly precise subtitle track. Muse Voice Transcribe remains a configured fallback, not a silent overlay.

Live transcription questions
Which model handles live transcription?
The live path defaults to Grok Voice Transcribe 2.0 through a session relay designed for a continuous browser recording. Muse Voice Transcribe remains a configured fallback.
How are live minutes charged?
The session reserves up to five minutes at a time, limited by the balance remaining. Confirmed elapsed time is settled and the unused tail is refunded when the session closes.
Does refinement happen automatically?
No. Refining a live transcript with MAI is an explicit second pass and a separate per-minute charge.
Can I share a public meeting link?
No public transcript link is created. The finished meeting stays in the owner’s workspace and can be copied or exported as a file.
Private by default
Capture the room, then keep working in the transcript.
Start a private live session and turn the conversation into an editable project when it ends.
